History

The Research Two building is a clear statement of modern architectural design. The projecting stair tower provides people a constant sense of the building's dimensions. Research Two blends with the other research buildings to form part of an open courtyard and to create a "cluster" or academic neighborhood formed by the surroundings. The entrances of all three buildings face North Creek.

The building provides offices and laboratories for University studies and corporations, and contributes to interaction among these people through its facilities. Research Two houses 32 faculty, 109 post-doctorates and students, five university staff, three corporate and government staff, and 11 corporate and government members.
