History
Tucker Owen Beach is located between the two residence halls in the First Year College Village (FYC). One of the most popular programs on the beach is known as “Battle for the Beach”. It is a big competition between Tucker and Owen residents in various events. The winner gets to claim the “beach” in between the two residence halls for that academic year. In 2011 Owen claimed the victory and named the beach “Owen Beach”.
