History
This contemporary six-story structure with an exterior of concrete, brick, and glass houses programs for major student organizations at State. A professionally-equipped, red-carpeted theater seating 900 is an important part of the building, while other heavily trafficked spots include the four separate dining facilities with open patios for outdoor eating, a ballroom, art gallery, and offices. The main lounge on the second floor, where the student information desk is located contains a rich collection of modern paintings and sculpture.
The Talley Student Center was built on a parking lot for Reynolds Coliseum and is a successor to the Erdahl-Cloyd Student Union which was renovated into a wing of the University library.
