NC State's Waste Reduction and Recycling Office recently signed up for Terracycle recycling programs in order to expand our efforts to reduce what we send to the landfill. TerraCycle is partnering with Stonyfield Yogurt to start a pilot program aimed at collecting used yogurt containers and reusing them as planting pots. Energy Bar and Cookie Wrappers |

Every year millions of non-recyclable energy bar wrappers end up in our landfills. In response to this tremendous waste of resources, TerraCycle, along with founding sponsor Clif Bar and sponsor Balance Bar, is committed to finding a new use for used wrappers. As an eco-friendly innovator, TerraCycle is going to convert the used wrappers into unique accessories and other upcycled products. Nabisco® has also joined to include cookie wrappers in this endeavor. |

TerraCycle is saving millions of corks from going into landfills. We are recruiting wine enthusiasts, restaurants, bars, tasting rooms and wineries to keep used corks out of the waste stream. As an eco-friendly innovator, TerraCycle upcycles used corks - both natural and synthetic - into cool products that are available nationally at major retailers. |
