America Recycles Day (ARD) is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to encouraging Americans to recycle and to buy recycled products. Each year, millions of people become better informed about the importance of daily recycling and buying recycled products. The purpose of America Recycles Day is to continue to promote the social, environmental and economic benefits of recycling and encourage more people to join the movement toward creating a better natural environment.

NC State University will celebrate America Recycles Day (ARD) on November 13th to promote recycling and buying recycled products. Back by popular demand, the University will be hosting another electronics recycling drive and shred-a-thon!

Synergy Recycling will be collecting the following electronic items:

*Computers – CPU’s and laptops, main frames
*Monitors –CRT’s and flat screens
*Telephones
*Cell phones
*CD’s and DVD’s
*Fax machines/office equipment
*Printers and copiers
*Medical equipment
*Rechargeable batteries
*Electronic circuit boards and components
*Stereo equipment, games, PDA’s
*Televisions (There is a $5 fee per television)
Box of Shredded Paper
Shred-it will be accepting the following items for shredding:
*Mixed paper
*Light cardboard

There will also be tabling by:
*NCSU Waste Reduction and Recycling
*City of Raleigh Recycling
*NCSU Sustainability Office

If you don't have anything to recycle, there will also be plenty of fun games to play, awesome prizes to win, and free office supplies to give away!
