Postage Charge Form

On March 16, 1998, University Mail Services changed accounting processing procedures from manual data entry to electronic barcoding. The key to implementing the new accounting system was the barcode. Departments should attach a peel and stick barcode label on the postage charge form in lieu of writing in the FAS account number.
The following mailings require a Postage Charge Form:

  • All mail and/or packages for domestic and international delivery.
  • All letters, flats or parcels for Certified, Registered, Express or Insured Mail.
  • All state courier mail that have six digit courier numbers that do not start with the number five (5).
