History of Team Excellence
The Facilities Division Team Excellence Program began on March 14, 2001. The program goals are to improve communication among staff and customers, provide better customer service and make the Facilities Division the best possible place to work. Facilities employees held idea generation workshops, shared ideas and suggested a number of ways to best achieve the program’s goals. In 2001 the first Team Excellence Flyer was published.
Following the 50 Idea Generation Workshops, the division’s Leadership Team met to work on implementation strategies.
The Leadership Team suggested a number of ideas to work on first. They met with their staffs to develop action plans. As a result of the Team Excellence program, the Facilities Division is working even harder to improve communication with customers.
The Facilities Division held a Team Excellence Rally for the entire staff to give an update on TEAM Excellence progress and to introduce the new Facilities Divison Mission / Vision / Core Values. Employees were reminded that the purpose of Team Excellence is simply to be the best we can be. Employees were thanked for their efforts in making Team Excellence so successful and encouraged to continue working to improve communication, provide better customer service, and make the Facilities Division the best possible place to work.
