College level selection committees:
-Establish college procedures and call for recommendations from
-Departments and individuals
-Identify two (2) college nominations for consideration for recognition as Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate Professors

University level selection committees are established with criteria specific to each award. Committees attempt to recognize faculty and administrators whose experience with faculty gives them insight into the affect of faculty member's contributions.

Members of the University Selection Committee for ADUP are:

:: One faculty senator, recommended by the Chair of the Faculty;
:: The Dean of Undergraduate Academic Programs
:: The Chair of the Executive Council of the Academy of Outstanding Teachers
:: One member of the Standing Committee on the Evaluation of Teaching, recommended by the chair
:: The Provost or representative
:: The Director of Alumni Relations
