Leadership - Faculty Resources
Explore the National ACE Fellows Faculty Program, which enables participants to immerse themselves in the culture, policies, and decision-making processes of another institution. Since 1965, hundreds of vice presidents, deans, department chairs, faculty, and other emerging leaders have participated in the Program. Potential ACE Fellows at NC State are required to submit an application packet and have a Dean’s letter of approval.
BRIDGES is an intensive professional development program for women in higher education who seek to gain or strengthen their academic leadership capabilities. It is designed to help women identify, understand, and move into leadership roles in the academy. An advisory board guides the program's activities.
The Fulbright Scholar Program sends 800 U.S. faculty and professionals abroad each year. Grantees lecture and conduct research in a wide variety of academic and professional fields.
Understanding across cultures, sexual orientations, religions, and all groups of people is integral to NC State. The Office for Diversity and Inclusion facilitates efforts of campus units, faculty, staff and student groups to bring people who are different together to interact and to increase diversity and inclusion on our campus.
Tuition Waiver. Permits the waiver of tuition for eligible full-time faculty and staff for up to three (3) courses per year, provided that such enrollment does not interfere with the employee's normal employment obligations.
HR Academy. Provides an in-depth review of business practices, Human Resources, university policies, State and Federal Laws relating to Human Resources practices. Great courses for faculty in leadership roles.
QuickStart Business Practices Program. Provides an overview of the University’s business practices by introducing new and current employees to the policies and procedures.
Educational Assistance Program. Allows the University [must be approved by your Dean and/or department head] to reimburse full-time and part-time employees for academic costs and fees associated with successful completion of job-related courses.
Pathways Program. Year-long program with courses designed to link leadership development principles with university’s business needs (both supervisory and non-supervisory roles).
Performance Leadership. Program, designed for managers and project leaders, that emphasizes the interpersonal skills manages need to lead employees and teams to perform effectively.
Professional Development Courses. Provided through open enrollment opportunities and customized training interventions designed to foster career growth.
McKimmon Center for Extension & Continuing Education. Computer training and certification credentials, lifelong learning programs for adults, meeting facilities and events management services for large statewide, regional and national professional development meetings or small training sessions.
