Resolution of Commendation
for Dr. Tom Stafford

Whereas Thomas H. Stafford, Junior, has served North Carolina State University for four decades,

And whereas, he has been a notable Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs since 1983,

And whereas, he has long been the central figure behind a “students first” philosophy that guides the Division of Student Affairs,

And whereas, he has distinguished record in furthering equity for women in the university and in the US military,

And whereas no one represents the spirit of NC State better than Thomas H. Stafford Junior,

Be it resolved, that the Faculty Senate of NC State University commends Dr. Stafford for his loyalty to the university, his service to the students, his character as a campus leader, and the innumerable contributions  he has made to the life of the university.
