NC State College of Design and Textiles students lead the Art to Wear fashion show.

There was no doubt among the crowd that the Collection: Art to Wear 2007 fashion show was going to be a showstopper. Music pumped, bulbs flashed, models in gravity-defying updos and heels checked the crowd from backstage.

All students of NC State's Colleges of Design and Textiles, 15 fashion designers produced and presented the annual, juried show. Liz Morrison, a senior earning a dual degree in art and design and textile technology, talked about preparing for the Raleigh runway and her summer internship with New York fashion designer Anna Sui.

This year's Art to Wear event is scheduled for April 10 at 8:30 p.m. in the Court of North Carolina.
