NC State Will Host Democratic Debate
As we all know, North Carolina has become a pivotal state in the Democratic primary. We certainly think Raleigh and NC State University provide an appropriate setting for this important debate.

The Democratic Party has chosen NC State University to host the debate on April 27. Barack Obama has not yet confirmed the date.
CBS will broadcast the 90-minute live debate beginning at 8 p.m., immediately following 60 Minutes. Katie Couric and Bob Schieffer will moderate. The debate will be held at the RBC Center.
“NC State University welcomes this opportunity to be the host for this debate in a pivotal primary state,” said Chancellor James Oblinger. “The university’s heritage is one of partnerships and collaborations, and we look forward to working together with CBS, the N.C. Democratic Party and our North Carolina partners and supporters to set a memorable stage for this debate.
“As we all know, North Carolina has become a pivotal state in the Democratic primary. We certainly think Raleigh and NC State University provide an appropriate setting for this important debate.”
NC State has already been the site of visits by each of the candidates’ campaigners as they accelerate their campaigning in North Carolina. The state’s primary is scheduled for May 6.
