Charged with the responsibility of “keeping the yearbook alive,” NC State senior John Cooper Elias worked with university officials, campus programs, students and former staff members to reinvent the yearbook and keep the tradition of the Agromeck alive for future generations of Wolfpack students – all while maintaining high marks in the classroom.
“As far as my education goes, I think I have been taught by some of the best professionals out there,” he said. “The hands-on and practical experience we get in class makes us well-equipped for when we graduate.”
“Coop” was the ‘07-‘08 Student Wolfpack Club president and has served on the organization’s Board of Directors – as well as the NC State Athletics Council – during his time at NC State.
“One of the best things that I’ve realized after being here for four years is that you have the chance to make the experience whatever you want to make it,” Elias said. “I accepted leadership opportunities within these organizations because they gave me some of the best experiences I’ve had at N.C. State, and I wanted to make sure opportunities like mine would be there for future students as well.” – Dave Pond
