Dressed for Success: New Uniforms for the Power Sound of the South

As members of the NC State family return to Raleigh for this weekend's Homecoming events, it'll be easy for them to spot a number of on-campus changes from even a year ago – new buildings, a new campus-wide marketing initiative and more. But one of the biggest improvements will be front and center during halftime of Saturday's Wolfpack/Eagles football game – the crisp, new uniforms worn by NC State's renowned marching band, the Power Sound of the South.

Serving Up Fare at the State Fair

Ferris wheels and funnel cakes can provide plenty of fun at the North Carolina State Fair, which began its 11-day run in Raleigh on Thursday. But if you need a break from the rides, games and fried food while you're at the fair, there are plenty of educational activities to take in, many of which involve the work of NC State's faculty, staff and students.
