Excelling Under a Watchful Eye

Russell Wilson's late father always told him that there is a king in every crowd, looking to make sure he did things properly. Few people have had more attention on them - and handled it with more poise - than Wilson, the 2010 Champs Sports Bowl MVP, honor student and star baseball player.

Wolfpack in the… Toy Department?

The competition was fierce at a local retail store, where members of the NC State football team took time out from bowl preparations to stuff shopping carts in a quest to become the team's top shopper for the Marines' Toys for Tots program. In just 45 minutes, players snagged more than $24,000 in toys to give to children in need.

Generosity Unrivaled

NC State chancellor Randy Woodson announced Friday, Dec. 17, that the university has received the largest gift in its history - $40 million - from Lonnie and Carol Johnson Poole.
