Collaborative Greek Council Disc Golf Photo Gallery

Students, faculty, staff and families participated in the Collaborative Greek Council’s Disk Golf Tournament on Centennial Campus’ scenic nine-hole disc golf course. Teams of four played a “superball” style format as they vied for top honors. Proceeds from the event benefited Stop Hunger Now, a global hunger relief organization.

Researchers at NC State’s FREEDM Systems Center are developing what can be called the “smarts” of the smart electrical grid — devices and networks that will one day seamlessly connect rooftop solar panels with batteries that store energy in the basements below.

Senior Superlatives

NC State graduating seniors Justin Michael Boucher, Kristy Craig, Jeffrey Johnson and Marycobb Randall were honored with the Mathews Medal, named for Walter J. Mathews, the first student enrolled at the North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts in 1889.




A Legacy of Service

A former state Extension Service director, a textiles industry leader and the president of the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Foundation received the prestigious Watauga Medal for distinguished service to NC State at the university's Founders' Day dinner, held Monday, March 7.
