NC State is howling with excitement about the arrival of a new Wolfpack freshman class.
More than 4,500 new freshmen will make a big impact on NC State. Sustainability efforts will limit their environmental impact during Wolfpack Welcome Week 2011.

UAB Black Students Board hosted an afternoon of fun, food, and good company on Harris Field for students to learn about ways to get involved with student organizations on campus. Jimmy John's, Moe's, McDonalds, Chick-fil-A, So-Be, Time-Warner and Noodles provided food and prizes throughout the event while various campus groups entertained the crowd.

Tuesday of Wolfpack Welcome Week saw a wide variety of events across campus. From individual colleges welcoming back students to new transfer students trading in their former school's swag and getting new NC State shirts, it was the busiest of days.
NC State football fans and players met face-to-face Saturday, Aug. 13, at Carter-Finley Stadium during Meet the Pack Day. A part of Wolfpack Welcome Week 2011, the event gave fans an opportunity to interact with members of the Wolfpack football team and coaching staff.
The Talley Student Center Project groundbreaking ceremony took place on the north side of the original building as the chancellor and student leaders spoke about this exciting project that will transform Talley into a vibrant hub for student activities.
Incoming NC State University freshmen joined university leaders, current students and family members who preceded them at NC State at the Legacy Luncheon on Saturday, Aug. 13. Sponsored by the NC State Alumni Association, the luncheon featured a pinning ceremony for freshmen and a performance by the NC State Marching Band, the "Power Sound of the South."
