A Message from the Vice Chancellor for Finance & Business [cont.]
With responsibility for the planning, management, and accountability of NC State’s financial, physical, and human resources, the many functions within Finance and Business are united by a common desire to facilitate the advancement of University initiatives while developing a culture of efficiency and effectiveness. It is our job to monitor and assess the financial health of the institution, resource allocation and utilization, enterprise risk, and business processes to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous quality improvement.
The 2009-2010 fiscal year will be a demanding, yet exciting one as the Office of Finance and Business implements strategies that will add value through improved efficiencies and streamlined processes. In tough economic times, we will continue to ensure fiscal integrity by engaging senior leaders, faculty, staff, students and the community in working together to develop solutions to the University’s strategic and financial challenges. Guided by the core values of integrity, excellence, and respect, we will remain good stewards of the University’s resources while ensuring that NC State continues to meet the 21st century needs of the people of North Carolina.
