Come join the Celebration September 22-25, 2011!
That’s when Food Science alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends will get together for a three-day celebration of the Golden Anniversary of the Department of Food, Bioprocessing and Nutrition Sciences!
Here’s the schedule:
Thursday Sept. 22
Meet and Greet: Get together with faculty and classmates for food and fun -- and to watch the televised Wolfpack football game in the newly renovated University Club!
Friday Sept. 23
Come join fellow alumni and friends for a Captain's Choice "scramble" style round of 18. We'll jump into our carts and hit the links of the university's new course designed by golf legend Arnold Palmer’s design company. The 18-hole, 7,025-yard, par-71 public course has fairways offering panoramic views of the Raleigh skyline and is the home course for the NCSU men’s and women’s golf teams.
Building tours: Check out the renovations, see what your labs look like today and return to the sites of your classes!
Pig Pickin’: Join us on the Schaub front lawn for an early afternoon BBQ!
Saturday Sept. 24
Whether you're still in your student-days shape or not, you'll enjoy our Fun Run, a 5K jaunt weaving through some of the landmarks of the N.C. State Campus.
We’ll meet back at the University Club to cap off our weekend with food, drink and friends. A gala event is planned, with a program looking back at our 50 years of teaching, research and extension.
