CURRENT WORK PROJECTS

Postdoctoral Research Scholar in the laboratory of Dr. Jaykus. My work involves two projects focused on the identification of sources of human and animal fecal contamination, and associated pathogens, in food production. One project is concerned with contaminants on fresh fruit and vegetables and the other focuses on contaminants of raw molluscan shellfish. My work specifically includes the molecular detection of norovirus, hepatitis A virus, Bacteroides, and coliphages.
