and families as a partnership - a partnership created to help students
be successful. We also know that when parents are informed, students
benefit. Therefore, we would like to invite you to a special program just for parents during New Student Orientation.
We
offer programs for families of students entering their first year
of college and for families of students transferring from another
college or university. Please click on the corresponding link
to the left to learn more about your respective orientation program.

Recent research at NC State shows that, in most cases, students whose
parents participate in Parents' Orientation have higher grades and are
more likely to graduate than students whose parents do not.

Over
70% of students who attend their scheduled orientation have parents
and families members who attend Parents' Orientation.
