| At
NC State, we view the relationship we have with our students' parents
and families as a partnership - a partnership created to help students
be successful. We also know that when parents
are informed, students benefit. Therefore, we would like
to invite you to a special session just for parents during New Student
Orientation.
Parents'
Orientation is more than just a campus tour. Even if you are already
familiar with NC State's campus, Parents' Orientation will help
you get acquainted with the academic programs and special services
offered to your student and will address questions and concerns
you may have. It will also offer insights into the adjustments
your new college student and you will face during the next few
years. Plus, you will have the opportunity to taste student life
by eating in the dining hall and touring campus. The sample
schedule provided describes the valuable information that
will be presented. Additionally, you will have the opportunity
to meet with many faculty, staff, and current students.
When
you attend Parents' Orientation, you automatically become
a member of the NC
State Parents & Families Association. The Parents &
Families Association is intended to strengthen the relationship
the University has with students' families and is designed to
increase communication with parents and actively involve them
in the life of the University. In return for your membership,
you will have access to valuable programs and services and are
eligible for many great benefits.
New
Student Orientation is required for all first-year students
and takes place during the same dates and times as Parents' Orientation.
Students will receive an email with all the details they need
to register and prepare for their orientation program. They may
also call the New Student Orientation office at 919.515.1234.
If you have
any questions about Parents' Orientation, please contact us at 877-568-5733

We hope you will be able to join us for this important program.
We are eager for you to feel at home at NC State University!

My husband and I felt that you were very organized, had
great spirit, and helped us become more informed about

individual he can be!!! We thank you with all our heart
for your generosity and wonderful care you gave us during
