Register In Advance!

Register prior to
June 26, 2009 and your student will be entered into a drawing for a $500 gift certificate to the NC State Bookstores. One recipient will be notified directly.

▪ New Student Orientation is required for all first-year students and takes place during the same dates and times as Parents’ Orientation.
▪ Students must register on line for their program. Registration for Student Orientation is separate from Parents’ Orientation.
▪ Students receive an email with all the details they need to register and prepare for their orientation program.
▪ If your student is not able to attend one of the orientation sessions assigned to his/her college, they must contact the New Student Orientation office to make other arrangements.
Registration Fee = $75 per family

Each registration fee covers:

  • the Parents' Handbook,
  • Parents' Orientation packet and orientation materials,
  • reception and presentations,
  • associated costs of the program,
  • PLUS one membership to the Parents & Families Association.

- We strongly encourage you to register in advance. However, if you are not sure that you are able to join us at this point, we welcome you to register for the program upon your arrival at Orientation.

- Members of the Parents & Families Association have access to valuable programs and services designed to keep parents informed and connected to student life through out the entire time their student is enrolled at NC State.

- Membership to the Parents & Families Association is designed to serve one household. If there are other family members residing in different locations who would like to receive the benefits of the Parents & Families Association and a set of orientation materials, they may join the Parents & Families Association directly via the Parents' Orientation registration card, on line, or upon their arrival at check in.

Note: The Parents' Orientation fee does not include meals or housing. Meals in the dining hall may be purchased at the door with cash or debit card.

You may register one of the following ways:

  • Register on line for Parents' Orientation
    - includes a membership to the Parents & Families Association

  • Print a Parents' Orientation Registration Card
    - includes a membership to the Parents & Families Association
  • Register on line for the Parents & Families Association
    - Recommended for family members NOT able to attend Parents' Orientation or additional households that would like a separate set of orientation materials and benefits of the Association.

  • Print a Parents & Families Association Registration Card (Coming Soon)
    - Recommended for family members NOT able to attend Parents' Orientation or additional households that would like a separate set of orientation materials and benefits of the Association.

Refund Policy: Registration fees are nonrefundable. $25 will be charged in addition to the registration fee ($75) for returned checks.
