Meet the Staff
Jennifer
N. Bell, M.Ed, NCC
Associate Director of Campus Activities
Jennifer completed her undergraduate degree at NC State in 1994 with
a BA in Communication and returned to complete her masters degree in
1998 with an M.Ed. in Counselor Education. As a graduate student, Jennifer
co-led the efforts to write a proposal for the establishment of a parents
program at NC State, and subsequently, was hired as NC State's first
Parents & Constituent Services Coordinator. In her current position
as Associate Director of Campus Activities, Jennifer is responsible
for directing Parents & Families Services which provides programs
and services, such as the Parents' HelpLine, Parents' Orientation, and
the Parents & Families Weekend. She is also responsible for producing
the printed and on-line Student Handbook.
Valerie
E. Oti, M.Ed.
Program Assistant
Very Important Parent Discount Program Manager
Ever wonder who was that friendly voice on the other end of the HelpLine?
Now you know. Valerie Oti has assisted thousands of parents who have
called the HelpLine with their questions and concerns. Valerie is a
graduate of East Carolina University and has been in her current position
since 2000. In addition to responding to calls to the Parents' HelpLine,
she is responsible for managing the Very Important Parent discount program,
supervising temporary help, and assists with all other aspects of the
Parents & Families Services.
Kimberly
Zugay
Events Manager
It takes a skilled eye for detail to successfully organize large-scale
programs like Parents & Families Weekend. Parents & Families
Services is very fortunate to have the talents and skills of Kimberly
Zugay to help make our events run smoothly and efficiently. Kimberly
received her BA in Sociology from Christopher Newport University in
Virginia. She spends part of her job assisting with planning Parents
& Families Weekend, Spring Fling, and Parents' Orientation. She
is also responsible for managing registrations for events and memberships
to the Parents & Families Association. Kimberly's "other job"
is serving as office manager for the Union
Activities Board and coordinator of the Minority
Career Fair.
