* 2001 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Credit Card Dangers When students leave home for college, they experience many newfound freedoms. They can go to bed whenever they desire. They can eat whatever they like. They can even make their own decisions about going to class. An additional freedom students may not expect is the freedom to sign up for credit cards... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Student Conduct Remains A Concern We’ve said it before, but it never hurts to say it again: At NC State, we believe that when parents are informed, students benefit. Therefore, we feel you, as the parent of an NC State student, should be aware of a couple of issues. We encourage you to discuss these topics with your student. It is important for students to understand parental expectations for their conduct. With your help, we can arm students with information to help them make well-informed decisions about their actions. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2001 Fall Semester Calendar ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A Letter from the Annual Fund Like most parents, you’ve probably been involved in many kinds of fund-raising activities during your student’s school years. Maybe your school sold fruit or cookies ... and who could forget wrapping paper! Now, as an NC State parent, you’ll again have a chance to help with fund raising, but this time it will be much easier than peddling chocolate bars door-to-door... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ NC State Parents Fund Visit the Parents Fund web site to access a contribution form and make a gift today! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Very Important News: VIP Program Update NC State’s Parents and Families Services program has forged partnerships with local businesses to offer special savings to NC State parents throughout the year... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2001 Parents & Families Weekend Join us for this time-honored tradition... |
