Students for Hire
Because NC State parents know the value of NC State students, we have created the Parent Network for Student Employment. The idea is simple: If we can get NC State parents to consider NC State students for jobs or internships, then more of our students will be employed.

Students at NC State know how important it is to graduate with experience in their field. Many sophomores and juniors seek career-related experience in the form of part-time jobs, summer internships, and cooperative-education (co-ops). With graduation on their minds, seniors are in search of full-time professional jobs.

At any point in their college careers, work experience - paid or unpaid - help students refine their career directions and develop work skills, which can lead to professional positions.

You can help provide these valuable work experiences through the Parent Network for Student Employment. Parents & Families Services has partnered with the University Career Center to establish a means by which parents can help students find jobs or internships. At a recent Parents’ Orientation program, 70.7% of parents surveyed said they would like to participate in such a program. Here is your chance - we have made it very easy for you!

Next time your place of business is seeking to hire college interns or graduates, consider NC State students! You may submit your opportunity over the web at www.ncsu.edu/for_parents; email it to ncsuparents@ncsu.edu; fax it to (919)-515-8078; or mail it to:

Jennifer Bell
Coordinator, Parent & Constituent Services
Student Development
Box 7314
Raleigh, NC 27695-7314

The University Career Center will enter your position on-line for immediate student access, refer resumes of students upon your request, and provide information about on-campus interviewing and career fairs.

If you have questions about the program, please call Parents & Families Services toll free at 877-568-5733.*
