The Parents' Fund

Welcome NC State Parents!
Another exciting year is well underway at NC State University. For us, it is our son Benton’s senior year. We hope your son or daughter loves NC State as much as Benton does. In return for their rich student experiences, we invite you to join us in giving back to the University who gives so much to our sons and daughters.

NC State is one of the best universities in the country, providing a world-class education at a great value. You may assume that NC State’s tuition is low compared to its peers because the state makes up the difference. However, if the University relied only on state support and tuition and fees for funding, many of the outstanding programs and services vital to campus life would not exist.

Last year, the Parents’ Fund helped purchase new band uniforms and supported many outstanding programs and services, such as the Center for Student Leadership, Ethics & Public Service, the University Career Center, Campus Recreation, and Student Health Services. ese programs give students guidance and support, as they become thinking, caring adults.

Each year, we ask fellow parents to help support the University through the Parents’ Fund. We hope you will join us.

Our yearly gift to the NC State Parents’ Fund is our annual “thank you” to the University that has given so much to our son. Please join us with your gift, whether $50 or $25,000—or somewhere in between—it will have a direct impact on campus life at NC State. Giving is easy, visit our website www.ncsu.edu/annualgiving or call us at (919) 515-0562.

We are grateful for your support and wish your family a wonderful new year.

With best wishes,

Rodney and David Sawrey
Co-Chairs, NC State Parents’ Council
