New
ID Numbers, New ID Cards, New Benefits for Students
The New Year brought changes to how students identify themselves
on campus. The changes also bring new benefits for security, banking,
and convenience. Whenever parents or students contact the University with
a question about tuition, grades or other matters, the first question
they typically hear is Whats your ID number? Until now,
that number has been the students social security number...

2003 NC State Family of the Year
Without families, great institutions are not possible. Families foster
academic success by preparing students to meet the challenges of higher
education (not to mention helping pay the bills). As a tribute to all
families of NC State students, the University recognizes one outstanding
family during Parents & Families Weekend each year. Students can nominate
their family through an essay contest coordinated by the Parents &
Families Services program in the Department of Campus Activities...

Serving
Others A Parents & Families Weekend Tradition
Nearly 40 parents, students and NC State staff gathered during Parents
& Families Weekend this fall for the annual Student-Family Service
Project. Volunteers left a lasting mark on campus as they assembled to
plant 8,000 daffodils, hyacinths, and crocuses along with many perennials
and shrubs at Bragaw Residence Hall...
