Meet the Staff

Jennifer N. Bell, M.Ed, NCC
Parents & Constituent Services Coordinator

Jennifer Bell likes hats, especially NC State hats because she has so many of them, including student, staff, and faculty. Jennifer completed her undergraduate degree at NC State in 1994 with a BA in Communication and returned to complete her masters degree in 1998 with an M.Ed. in Counselor Education. As a graduate student, Jennifer co-led the efforts to write a proposal for the establishment of a parents program at NC State, and subsequently, was hired into her current full time position as Parents & Constituent Services Coordinator. As Coordinator, Jennifer is responsible for directing Parents & Families Services which provides programs and services, such as the Parents' HelpLine, Parents' Orientation, and the Parents & Families Weekend. She is also responsible for producing the printed and on line Student Handbook.

Very Important Parent Discount Program Manager

Ever wonder who was that friendly voice on the other end of the HelpLine? Now you know. Valerie Oti has assisted thousands of parents who have called the HelpLine with their questions and concerns. Valerie is a graduate of East Carolina University and has been in her current position since 2000. In addition to responding to calls to the Parents' HelpLine, she is responsible for managing the Very Important Parent discount program, supervising temporary help, and assists with all other aspects of the Parents & Families Services.

Tremaine Brittain
Student Staff

With over 1500 calls to the Parents' HelpLine each semester, it takes a team to carry out our mission to be the last place or second to last place parents have to call for help. Tremaine Brittain is a vital member of that team. A graduating senior in the College of Textiles, Tremaine brings the valuable perspective of students to the Parents & Families Services program. She is the "other" friendly voice on the HelpLine and manages registrations for events and memberships to the Parents & Families Association.
