Job Description: Research and teaching in beef nutrition. My research focuses on nitrogen metabolism by cattle consuming high- or all-forage diets. My teaching includes beef management and ruminant nutrition.

Role in Forage Group: I provide an animal metabolism component to the interaction among ruminants, forages, and the ecosystem. I use measures of urea production, urea recycling, and N excretion to track nitrogen through the system.
