N.C. State's Fruit and Vegetable Science Institute will include:
The N.C. Research Campus offers state-of-the art facilities to
determine protein structures that mediate growth, resistance and
nutrient production, and for molecular imaging of cellular function. In
addition, an agricultural research station is being constructed as part of
the campus. The station will include more than 45,000 square feet of
greenhouses and 100 acres of fields devoted to agricultural
experiments.
- The greenhouse will include a 25,000-square-foot headhouse.
- 100-acre field laboratory with options for organic and commercial growth.

FACULTY HOUSE
The NC State University "Faculty House" is a two-story, five-bedroom suite home located at 105 S. Ridge Avenue directly across from the NC Research Campus and Cannon Village in downtown Kannapolis, NC.
The long-term goal of the Faculty House is to provide visiting faculty, researchers and other visitors with a comfortable and convenient place for single or multiple night stays while also serving as a locus for intellectual interaction among the faculty of the universities and NC Research Campus business partners.
The Faculty House has 5-private suites with fully furnished queen bedrooms. All suites will be equipped with full private baths, wireless high-speed Internet access, Cable TV, and Telephone.
Fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities will also be available on the main floor, along with additional common areas to include a large living room, sitting room / parlor and conference room options. The common area setup makes this house an ideal situation for visiting researchers, professors and business personnel to discuss, collaborate, and brainstorm research efforts and business ventures in the biotechnology industry.
Although the “Faculty House” will be managed and operated in full by NC State University personnel, we will welcome and accommodate guests and visitors from all universities and private corporations that have business and/or research enterprises at the NC Research Campus and surrounding areas.
