Personal Information:
I was born Pennsylvania, but raised in Tampa, Florida (Go Big Red!). When deciding to come to college, I found my way to North Carolina State University’s First Year College. After a great year, I was able to matriculate into the College of Management. Before entering the work force, I decided I wanted to help students find their path the way the Amazing Advisors in FYC helped me find mine. I returned to school to complete my master’s degree, married my wonderful husband Jairo, and spent a few years working with students and college access until I made my way back home to the First Year College.
I am passionate about the work I do each day because I know personally how daunting the transition to college can be, and how valuable Academic Advisors are in the transition process.
When I am not working in the First Year College, I am normally traveling with my Hubby (or planning to), shopping for unique jewelry, dancing, and or eating something amazing.
