Personal Information:
Born and raised in Warrington, PA, I lived in different locations in Pennsylvania until moving to North Carolina in September, 2006. I still have family in Philadelphia, and now Atlanta, and happily, I am in between the two places.
I knew once I started college that I was never going to leave. I played basketball for four years in college and chose to pursue a coaching career upon graduation. My first job was partly in residence life and partly in coaching. After three years, I decided to pursue my master’s. Post-masters I had the opportunity to work with first-year students in Residence Life at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA.
My heart is with two specific campus groups: first year students and athletes. First-year students are just the most fun because of their amazing energy, ambition, and natural curiosity. And having been a college athlete myself, I will always have a connection with what that entails.
For my interests, I taught myself to play the guitar a few years back, enjoy playing basketball and racquetball, and love watching football. My favorite college team is Syracuse, and any professional team from Philly tops the list. My favorite comic strip is Calvin & Hobbes, favorite novelist would be John Grisham, favorite food is pizza, and I usually have a mix of country, folk, alternative, and pop in my cd or mp3 player.
