My student had a great experience in the First Year College (FYC) at NC State. I thought you might want to check this out as your student looks at college options. NC State is a big, complex institution. FYC provides a smaller community where students can learn more about themselves, excel in their academics and find the major that’s right for them. One of the biggest benefits of First Year College is that students have more access to a personal, professional academic adviser. In fact, FYC has the best student:adviser ratio of any college on campus. This helps ensure students takes the right courses as freshmen to keep moving toward a degree while exploring majors. Don’t worry, FYC students do graduate on time. We're glad we chose FYC when we joined the Wolfpack! Want more info?
