Bio:

I was born and raised on farm in a small town in Ripley Tennessee. In 1970 I attended Central Bible College in Springfield, MO.  I met my wife while attending CBC.  After College I worked at several jobs: youth pastor, factories, truck stop restaurant, camera shop delivery service, rest home, gas station, Ace hardware, grocery stores, and tool die shop.  In 1979 I joined the U.S. Navy. My job was a medic.  I did training in Korea, Japan, Panama, and Cuba. I was stationed in Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina.  Out of my 20 years in the Navy, I spend 4 tours with the Marines as a medic (Marines don’t have any medical support for it is provided by the U. S. Navy). In Jan 1999 I retired from the Navy after 20 years.  After retiring from the Navy, I worked for Nine Rivers and A4 Health Systems as a Software Analyst.  In 2001 I started working for NC State at the College of Natural Resources.  In July 2007 I started working in the First Year College.

My hobbies are gardening; collecting furnishings and accessories for my cozy country home; and reading books on computers, motivation subjects, and suspense novels.  I have 2 sons who live in Charlotte. My oldest son has his own business (my wife works for him) and he has 1 daughter (2 years old).  My other son is a doctor and he has 1daughter (1 year old).

My favorites movies and TV shows are Sci Fi.   I love Star Wars, Back to The Future, and The Lord of the Rings
