My favorite places to hang out in the state are in any remote area of the mountains or on the coast at midnight. I enjoy music, traveling and reflecting. I am happiest when I am helping someone (my family, my students, friends, or anyone else who needs it). I am saddest when my "psyche" is restricted by unnecessary limitations. Albert Einstein so nicely reflected my personal philosophy when he made the statement, "The value of a man [person] resides in what he [or she] gives and not in what he [or she] is capable of receiving". I am gratified by the opportunity to help first year students accomplish their goals and discover their own capabilities. I find serving students refreshing because they always bring new and different experiences to the learning environment. I find them entertaining because they show so much "creativity" in their decision-making. I am most impressed when students realize their potential and then find ways to make themselves make a difference. |
