First Year College Parent Network

The First Year College (FYC) Parent Network gives parents opportunities to support the First Year College and its students. Parents can offer their expertise, their talents and suggestions as they learn more about educating today’s freshmen. The leadership team for this group met in September 2008 to develop an action plan for the year.

Neppie Stevens, a FYC parent from Smithfield, is chair of this group.

“My son Sloan has had an excellent experience in the FYC and I agreed to help because I recognize the important role parents play in the success of the first year college student. Transition from high school to college is a big challenge and parents have many resources and ideas to share that can support our students and the First Year College mission.” Chair Neppie Stevens
