Terms and Conditions for Utilization of the Village Roomster

I hereby request permission to participate in the Village Roomster roommate finding service, and further: 

• I understand the Village Roomster is a tool for making contact with current and future North Carolina State University students with similar profile answers.
• I understand that this service is designed to make it easier for me to contact other students who are looking for a roommate.
• I understand that any living preferences I submit on Village Roomster are not utilized by University Housing to match roommates, only for potential roommates to find each other.
• I realize that to make this service possible, I must release contact information about myself to others who have chosen to participate in the Village Roomster service.
• I understand and agree that North Carolina State University, First Year College, and University Housing are not responsible for:

1. The validity of information entered by other participants into the Village Roomster;
2. The success or failure of any resulting roommate matches;
3. Problems resulting from the release of my personal information to other participants or that may result from my participation in this service.

• I grant North Carolina State University, First Year College, University Housing, and its agents and employees permission to release my contact information (as provided in the Village Roomster service) to those who have entered a record into the Village Roomster service for the same semester as myself.
• I understand that this information may be used only for the Village Roomster and will remain active until the end of the semester or session that I have selected or I revoke it, whichever comes first.
• I understand that for each semester or term that I wish to use the Village Roomster service, I must update my information to participate.
• I understand that if I have a vacant space in my room, I can be assigned a roommate at any point in time.
• I understand that my profile cannot be created, nor can I search for roommates using this service, until I click the I ACCEPT button below.

Security:

• Information entered into the system is not protected and may be viewed by others, regardless of their affiliation or lack of affiliation with North Carolina State University.
• We strongly suggest that you create a user name that will protect your identity.
• Once you are finished using the Village Roomster Service, please remember to remove your name from the roomster spreadsheet by filling out this form.

By clicking the I ACCEPT button below, I certify that I accept the conditions specified above and I want to participate in roommate searching using the Village Roomster service.
