Gertrude Cox Award

Nominate Someone

Nomination Deadline: All submissions must be posted to the nomination website by 8pm Friday, February 15, 2013. Nominations should be submitted online using the Nomination Form. You may submit supporting comments by going to the Current Nominations page, viewing a nomination, and filling in the Comments box at the bottom of the nomination.

Nominators must inform nominees that they have been nominated. If nominees accept the nomination, they must provide the judges with the access to course materials experienced by their students. If a login is required, temporary access to online course materials in WolfWare Classic or Moodle can be facilitated by DELTA (e-mail learntech@ncsu.edu).  The nominee is responsible for working with appropriate staff in facilitating access to materials.

The purpose of the Gertrude Cox Award is to recognize the creative contributions to teaching, learning, and technology by members of the faculty at NC State University. Help to identify our great teachers and innovators by submitting the name of a faculty member you find deserving of this award. The names of technical personnel, if primary contributors, may be included as well. Include information and website address(es) for one project developed and used in teaching by the nominee in the previous academic year. Nomination Criteria

In the spirit of effectively using technology to enhance and simplify the submission of nominations and distribution of materials to the panel of judges, the nomination process has been converted to a completely online process. Include comments about the work in the description fields of the nomination form rather than providing a separate letter of support.
