Volunteer Sign-Up for Move-In
The NC State Greek community will again provide volunteer assistance to new students moving into the residence halls on Friday, August 16th and Saturday, August 17th and we need all our fraternity and sorority members to make this another successful effort! For the past 10 years, we have provided over 500 volunteers to welcome our new students and their parents to NC State. Our effort is vital to making that first day a successful one for the students and the University. It is a great way to meet new students and demonstrate the tremendous benefits of being Greek.
Volunteers will work one shift of 2 1/2 hours on either Friday, August 16th or Saturday, August 17th. Shifts are 12 noon to 2:30 pm or 2:30 pm to 5 pm on Friday; and 10:00 am to 12:30 pm or 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday.
All volunteers must weara red "Go Greek" shirt that identifies you as an official Move-in Volunteer that day. If you do not have a "Go Greek" shirt, check with your chapter to see if they ordered are placing an order. If not, a limited number of individual shirts will be available for purchase in the Greek Life office in 1104 Pullen Hall for $10 (unisex) or $15 (ladies v-neck) on a first-come, first-served basis.Chapter orders are due by March 30th and will be distributed to chapters in early May, and include the option of having your chapter letters on the sleeve.
All fraternity and sorority volunteers must sign up individually using the online registration form. Please select a first choice and second choice shift, and provide contact information. After August 14th, you will be able to log-in to a secure site and view your shift and location assignment. A list of shift and location assignments for each participating chapter will be emailed to Chapter Presidents the week of August 12th.
