Sigma Nu – A Grand Overview
Greek Village Menu
During October, the most notable installation to the exterior of the Sigma Nu fraternity house was the construction of the four white columns on the front porch. The columns stand nearly 20 feet high and 37 inches in diameter, giving the fraternity house a grand academic look from the front.
Construction crews also installed column wraps to the balcony on the back of the house and ordered pavers for the balcony stairs to match the decorative railings. The balcony columns are not as large as the front porch columns, but are still nearly 11 feet high and 29 inches in diameter.
Inside, crews began installing the main lobby staircase and guardrail to finish the grand lobby of the building. They also finished tile work on the third floor and the ceiling grid for lighting on the remaining floors. In the library crews also painted and built cabinets. To comply with ADA standards, crews also began preliminary work for installing the building elevator.
The Sigma Nu Greek Village house is on track for a January 2014 opening. For more information about the Greek Village project, please visit our Project Overview page.
