The NC State Greek community will again provide volunteer assistance to new
students moving into the the residence halls on Saturday, August 16th and we
need all our fraternity and sorority members to make this another successful
effort! For the past 10 years, we have provided over 700 volunteers to
welcome our new students and their parents to NC State and this year our goal
is 900 volunteers. Our effort is vital to making that first day
a successful one for the students and the University. It is a great way
to meet new students and demonstrate the tremendous benefits of being Greek.
Volunteers will work one shift of three hours on Saturday, August 16th. Shifts are 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. All volunteers must wear a red "Go Greek" shirt that idenitifies you as an official Move-in Volunteer that day. If you do not have a "Go Greek" shirt, check with your chapter to see if they ordered one for you. If not, a limited number of individual shirts will be available for purchase in the Greek Life office in 1104 Pullen Hall for $7 on a first-come, first-served basis.
All fraternity and sorority volunteers must sign up individually using the online registration form. Please select a first choice and second choice shift, and provide contact information. After August 8th, you will be able to log-in to a secure site and view your shift and location assignment. A list of shift and location assignments for each participating chapter will be emailed to Chapter Presidents the week of August 11th.
