New Aerial Photos of Greek Village Project

Welcome back students!! These new aerial photos of the Greek Village project show tremendous progress over the past month.
The new street network in Phase 1 is substantially complete, including a new connection from Greek Village to Varsity Drive
near the Flex Lab building. The building lots are now complete and grass is already beginning to grow in these areas. The new
parking areas for Phase 1 behind the building lots are almost completed.

Paving Begins on Streets and Parking Lots

Contractors began work on the first layer of asphalt paving for the streets and parking lots in Phase 1. The recent stretch
of dry weather has allowed the contractor to complete the work on the main streets and parking lots in preparation for paving,

Greek Village Opens Phases 2 and 3
Release Date: May 4, 2009
Greek Life began accepting commitments for Phase 2 and Phase 3 on May 1, 2009. So far, four new groups have committed to build in Greek Village: Sigma Chi, Alpha Delta Pi, Delta Delta Delta, and Delta Zeta. Pi Kappa Alpha continues to have earnest money on deposit for a future phase. We will continue to accept letters of commitment and deposits through August 1, 2009. Lots will not be assigned until the open period concludes.
Phase 2 will commence in May 2010 with two building lots available for construction in summer 2011 and Phase 3 will start in May 2012 with three building lots available for construction in summer 2013. Phase 2 will also feature the construction of the Greek Village Townhouses, smaller facilities that will be available for lease by fraternities and sororities and Greek Village Apartments, four bedroom suites designed for upperclassmen.
