Alumni, students, staff, and friends gathered in Greek Village on Saturday, September 26th to witness the ceremonial groundbreaking for the Sigma Nu fraternity house at NC State. This event marked the first step in the construction of the first privately-owned fraternity house in Greek Village at NC State. Sigma Nu alumni members Howard Pickett and Daniel Gunter hosted the event and spoke about Sigma Nu's housing plans and current fund-raising progress. Construction on the Sigma Nu house is scheduled to start in the spring of 2010 with a target opening date of Fall 2011. The house will be the home for the Beta Tau chapter of Sigma Nu, which returned to active status at the University last fall. This great event was then capped off by an exciting Wolfpack victory of the University of Pittsburgh!
