International Cultural Leadership Project

Thank you for your interest in welcoming and supporting incoming French SKEMA business students. NC State student volunteers will play a key fun and exciting role helping visiting French international business students get connected and involved at NC State. Throughout the 2012-2013 academic year, NC State volunteers and SKEMA students will be placed together in small groups to do activities together. Because SKEMA students will take their own classes and live off campus, volunteers will provide them with invaluable opportunities to interact with NC State students, improve their English conversation, and learn more about Raleigh and U.S. culture.

Background
In January 2011, one of the most prestigious French business schools, SKEMA, NC State’s Poole College of Management, and NC State’s Global Training Initiative (GTI) partnered to begin welcoming and orienting 200+  new top French business students to NC State every semester. During the Spring 2011 semester, 70+ small groups made up of 430 NC State and SKEMA French business students participated in the International Cultural Leadership Project. Thanks to these volunteers, the project was a huge success.
