Alcohol Edu
is an on-line, science-based program providing detailed information
about alcohol and its effects on the body and mind. Topics include:
- alcohol basics,
- the role alcohol plays in society,
- effects on learning and memory, and
- abuse/addiction.
Its goal is to help you make well informed decisions about alcohol
and cope with some of your peers’ drinking behavior.
AlcoholEdu
takes approximately 3 hours to complete and is available to any
NC State student free of charge. If you would like to take
the course please e-mail
Chris Austin or call 919-513-3295 for the student login code.
If you are required to complete the AlcoholEdu program as
part of a university sanction follow the instructions below.
1. Register for the class either through the Office of Student Conduct,
your residence director, or by contacting Chris
Austin via email or phone at 919-513-3295.
2. Attend the class.
3. Complete AlcoholEdu
online program.
4. Complete the critical thinking paper and return to the person
who referred you.
5. Attend a follow-up appointment.
Spring 2008 Alcohol Sanction Classes
The cost of the class is $40 and can be paid for between 8-5 PM
at the cashier’s office in the Student Health Center. Please
note that classes start on time, thus if you are paying the day
of the class please do so by 4:30 PM.
