with signs and symptoms that if left ignored can be fatal.
Materials
Copies of Alcohol

Session
- Tell students that alcohol poisoning is a dangerous situation.
When people drink to the point that they pass out (you are unable
to wake them because, medically speaking, they are in a coma)
they are near death.
- Go over the signs and symptoms of alcohol poisoning
- Go over what they need to do.
- Express that it is a medical emergency and needs to be treated
as one because not everyone is simply going to sleep it off, some
will die because they were allowed to sleep it off.
- Tell students that Campus Police reports that it works under
a verbal Good Samaritan policy, so that a person who reports a possible
alcohol poisoning, even if they are underage and drinking, will
not receive a Campus Appearance Ticket.
