Contraception (birth control) refers to pregnancy prevention not disease
prevention. It is also important to know that hormonal contraceptive
options may be prescribed for reasons other than birth control. Selecting
a contraceptive option is a personal choice that requires thought
in selecting a method that is best for you. You should discuss your
options with your health care provider.
