At

copy of the University Application for Admission by visiting
the website of the Office
of Undergraduate Admissions or by contacting the
Office of Admissions at 919.515.2434.
Admission
to the UHP is not automatic: a separate application is
required. You may obtain an application one of two ways:

You
may be invited to apply to the program based on several
academic criteria, including class rank, high school
weighted and unweighted grade point averages, and
SAT scores. If invited we will mail you a letter
of invitation, along with information about the program
and a UHP application.

you have been admitted to NC State and have not yet
heard from us and you are interested in making application,
please call the UHP Office at 919.513.4078 to request
an application.
Invitations
to apply to the UHP are sent out from mid January through
mid March. Students who are invited to apply will need
to return their applications by the date indicated on
the application. Accepted students will be notified after
April 1.
Admission
is based on our assessment of your potential for exceptional
academic work at NC State. We reach this decision based
on a review of SAT scores, high school grades, rigor
of courses taken in high school, class rank (when available),
and evidence of creativity, initiative, and aspirations
to excellence.
