Millennium
Seminar featuring Donna Shalala |
| |
Will
deliver an important address on veterans’ health
care |
| |
Monday,
March 10, 3 PM, Stewart
Theatre (Talley Student Center)
Every American is concerned about the condition of
our wounded veterans, and wants them to receive the
very best health care and rehabilitation that our
country can offer. There have been disturbing reports
of inadequate care and living conditions endured
by the wounded men and women of our armed forces
while they have received treatment. These serious
reports have issued an alarm, and there is the need
to know how we can correct those deficiencies and
provide our wounded with the care they deserve.
On Monday, March 10, 2008 at 3:00 o’clock p.m.
in Talley Student Center’s Stewart Theatre,
NC State’s Millennium Seminar (www.ncsu.edu/millenniumseminars)
is pleased to present Donna Shalala who will deliver
an important address on veterans’ health care.
President Shalala will talk about where we’ve
been and where we need to go as a nation to ensure
that our veterans receive excellent health care and
rehabilitation services. She will also answer as
many questions as time permits after delivering her
remarks.
Donna Shalala, President of the University of Miami,
is a nationally recognized expert in the field of
health care. She is the former U.S. Secretary of
Health and Human Services and most recently served
as co-chair with Senator Bob Dole of the President’s
